💮The Joy Of April _ Sinhala & Hindu New Year💮



April known the bak month always reminds us the joyful new year season.It is special time that fills the hearts of both children and adults with happiness and excitement.🌿✨

               The sweet sound of the Koel bird and the blooming red Erabadu flowers beautifully decorate the environment during this festive season.Homes are cleaned and decorated bringing fresh and cheerful atmosphere. 🏡🌸
                                                             
Families traditional new year foods such Milk rice,Kokis,Kavum,Athirasa and Dodol. Wearing new clothes and spending time peacefully with loved ones makes the celebration more meaningful.🍚🎉

Among the  new year customs i enjoy visiting the temple during the nonagatha period,starting work  the auspicious time,sharing meals and visiting relatives.Tasting a piece Dodol during these visits  my favorite new year treat.🥮😋

                                                                  April is my favorite month of the year because my birthday also falls during this joyful season.the new year is a festival that brings happiness  Sinhala,Tamil and Hindu communities alike.🤍🌞

🌍An Unforgettable Journey With My Friends To Anuradhapura 🌍

February 2nd,2026 became one of the most memorable days of my life.On that day my university friends Gayathri 👩, Senuri 👩, and I decided  travel together to Anuradhapura .We planned our trip the previous day and started early in the morning with excitement.I boarded the bus around 7.00 a.m and Senuri joined me on the way.Later gayathri arrived from nochchiyagama and finally all three of us met in Anuradhapura around 9.30 a.m. Wbegan our journey by visiting the sacred Sri Maha Bodhi ,where we offered flowers ,oil lamps and prayers with devotion.Then we went to the magnificent Ruwanwelisaya and spent some peaceful moments in silence and gratitude.  Around 1.00 p.m,we went to a restaurant and enjoyed a delicious full rice meal followed by ice cream.We laughed talked and enjoyed simple moment together.After lunch we went shopping.We selected beautiful bag for Gayathri❜s mother.I bought a purse for my sisters birthday.Later,my friends helped me choose a lovely blouse and we als...
