My First Pilgrimage To Sri Pada☸️
My first pilgrimage to Sri Pada took place on february 26, 2022.It has become one of the most unforgettable and beautiful memories my life.I traveled with my relatives by bus, starting our journey around four in the early morning. Some villagers also joined us along the way.we reached sri pada area at night. After resting and having dinner🍲🥘,our group prepared to begin the sacred climb.Since this was my first pilgrimage, our leader introduced me the ❝Kodukaraya❞.
Carrying oil, incense ,a ball of thread, and a needle we started our journey from the hatton side.As we climbed higher, our group gradually divided into smaller groups.Climbing sri pada is not easy task.It is tiring and challenging, yet thousands of devoted buddhists undertake this journey with great faith☸️.After washing our faces and feet at seetha gsngula,we continued our climb.as the cold increased,I wore jersey,a cap 🧢and glove🧤s.We rested by drinking tea at small shops along the way.
At Indikatu Pana ,i threaded my needle and pulled the thread upward with the ball. This was a special and unique experience for me,as it was duty as a first time pilgrim.By then it was already past five the morning.Although the journey was exhausting, reaching close summit filled my heart with happiness. After walking thousands of steps, arriving there gave me great satisfaction.
Along with a few memories of my group, I was fortunate to witness the breathtaking sunrise from the top.White clouds floated around us like cotton, creating magical and unforgettable view.It was truly amazing experience beyond words.
After paying homage the sacred footprint, offering donations, and ringing the bell🔔,we completed our pilgrimage. We then descended safely and returned to our homes the next morning.
This was my first pilgrimage to Sri Pada.It remains a beautiful and unforgettable memory that will always stay in my heart. 💖

A beautiful experience
